In the UK, on the 5th of November we celebrate Bonfire Night! We have huge bonfires, stacks of firework displays and stuff our faces with food like jacket potatoes and toffee apples. The origin of this occasion is that it celebrates the defeat of a conspiracy to blow up the Houses of Parliament with the King of the time (James I), his ministers and the Members of Parliament in them. This is called the Gunpowder Plot. One of the men involved in this plot was Guy Fawkes so people sometimes make up effigies of him from old clothes stuffed with newspaper to burn on the bonfire - jolly eh?!

Remember that animals get very scared by the noise of fireworks and it's dangerous for them to be outside. So keep them inside and safe and give your piggers a nice box filled with hay in their cage to hide away from all the noise.
