| Not actually a giant guinea pig, but the largest living rodent called a capybara that looks very much like one, and sounds like one too! They can weigh just over 140lbs so are pretty huge (and impractical to have as pets, so don't get any ideas). Like guinea pigs, they do a lot of lying round on the grass, but also love water and are excellent swimmers - not something most cavies would enjoy! Capybaras live in groups of up to twenty and if they sense danger while they are lazing on the grass, they all charge in to the water together! They eat mainly plants, grasses and grains.
