softie with people, Teef had his dominant side and was a bit feisty with
other pigs in his first year. His first scuffle was with Fred when he was only a couple of weeks old, but luckily they got on swimmingly when they were reintroduced post-neutering. A more serious run-in with his brother Ziggy meant they had to be separated permanently, but both were rather happy with swapping their brother for some lady pigs! Teef took the most pride in the appearance of the herd and spent hours a day practising his hairdressing skills on his women. He was a very nosy little chap and was always popcorning around sticking his nose in to everything. He loved a cuddle and a groom, but didn't like to sit around doing nothing for too long. He'd climb up to lick your nose to let you know he wanted to be put down for another wander around. Tefal passed away in January 2004, just a day after being diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately it progressed so quickly from him first displaying any symptoms, that despite getting him to the vet straight away, he died before we had the chance to try and help him. But thankfully it was a very short period of illness for him to endure. Teef was a smashing little pig, and he will be dearly missed. Tefal was Pet of the Day on the 20th of November 2001. | ||
