| Biography |
Born in the same lawless shed as Fred, Charlie did not escape so lightly and
was already pregnant when I got her at 10 weeks of age. Luckily the
pregnancy went well and all the babies were fine - a relief because females
shouldn't be bred under 5 months of age as they're still just babies themselves. She was the quietest pig in the
herd, and apart from the occasions she decided Fred needed a dressing down, was very easy going. Provided there was a constant stream of food of course. Charlie was always the most popular female with the boys as she was too lazy to run away from
them.
Charlie loved exploring, but certainly wasn't ever in any rush to get anywhere. She ambled around happily, and loved looking for new textures to sink her teeth in to. Pig proofing the rooms was especially important when she was around! She loved a nice long grooming session, and always seemed a bit disgruntled to be put back, however long she'd had. Charlie lived a long happy life and passed away peacefully on the 22nd of March 2007. Charlie was Pet of the Day on the 14th of July 2003. |
